The circuit (22) has an input (24) connecting to a power supply (26) and an output (28) connecting to a load circuit (30) to be powered by the power supply. Micro-electro-mechanical (MEM) inertial sensing switches (32A-32C) are movable from an open position to a closed position. A detector (34) operates a power switch to supply power to the output based on the movement of the switch. An independent claim is also included for a method for selectively powering circuitry connected to an output of a power switch and based upon motion.
