PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device capable of surely detecting whether or not a characteristics conversion means such as a user filter is attached thereto while suppressing cost raising. SOLUTION: This light source device 1 having a main lamp 12 for emitting illumination light, a color correction filter 21 for converting the characteristics of the illumination light, a dipping mesh 22 and a turret 16 on which a plurality of loaded objects such as the user filter 23 are loaded, is provided with a turret rotating position detection mechanism 28 for detecting the presence/absence of the user filter 23. |
