The present invitention describes a chemical method for preparing titanium dixide sols, by introducing natural, water-solube dextrin polymers, in order to be applicable in industrial deposition systems of titanium dioxide films, in an easy and low cost procedure. The introduction of a water soluble dextrine polymer assures the existence of a "molecular"substrate that restricts the uncontrolled and continuous hydrolysis/condensation of titanyl oxysulphate. The latest molecule has been introduced as tetravalent titanium raw material source. Triethanolamine was added to enhance the stability of the related sol. The invention result is a stable nanostructured titanium dioxide particles sol. The sol is used modifying chemically inert surfaces, in order to prossess self-cleaning, self-sterilizing and anti-fogging properties. The invention is ideally appropriate for industrial use, due to the simplicity, low cost, environmental consciousness, low toxicity and high quality fo the final titanium dioxide films. |
