The upper part of a pole (12) is pivotally and slidably connected to a fastener (8) on the front side of the mast (2) and the lower end of this pole is releasably secured inside the clew (5). A rope (14) connected to the pole is operated from the seat well in order to tighten the pole against the clew. |
