The present device comprises a vertical reactor body (1) wherein a solution to be treated is injected in order to be vertically and upwardly flowed, thus forming a fluidised bed. A reactant metal, such as granulated iron, is introduced into the reactor through the highest portion thereof. The reactor body (1) includes a flared superimposed compartment (6) useful for improving the performance of the reactor, and wherein sonotrodes (7) are submerged into the solution. The mixture of the solution and the reactant material is agitated in the reactor body (1) by means of ultrasound or electromagnetism. An injection chamber (2) is conically or trapezoidally placed at the lower portion of the device, said chamber being flared at the highest portion of the device where inert pellets (12), such as glass or plastic material pellets, are located in order to improve the fluidity and homogeneity of the fluidised bed, as well as the flow thereof into the reactor body (1).
