<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constituent member for a fuel cell capable of being composed with a small number of components by improving power generation of each unit cell. <P>SOLUTION: This constituent member for a fuel cell is characterized by comprising: a membrane-electrode assembly (MEA) 20 comprising an electrolyte membrane 8 and gas diffusion layers (GDLs) 9 and 10 stacked and integrated on/with both its surfaces by interlaying catalyst support layers 10a; impregnated band parts 9b and 10b of liquid rubber or synthetic resin formed along the inside of the edge parts of the GDLs 9 and 10; and gasket bodies 12 made of an elastic material integrated with both the surfaces thereof so as to encompass the outside surfaces of the impregnated band parts 9b and 10b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
