<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device whose heat generation is restrained and also which accurately controls the direction of light emitted from the optical device itself, and an optical unit and an imaging apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The optical device is equipped with: a fluid storing container inside which an insulating fluid and a conductive fluid having a different refractive index from each other, non-mixed with each other and respectively having light transmissivity are stored, and which transmits light at least in a predetermined optical axis direction; a 1st electrode which comes into contact with the conductive fluid in the fluid storing container; a plurality of 2nd transparent electrodes which are insulated from the conductive fluid in the fluid storing container, between each of which and the 1st electrode voltage is applied to, and which are arranged on the transparent surface of the fluid storing container; and a plurality of transparent transistors which adjust the voltage applied to the plurality of the 2nd electrodes respectively and which is arranged on the transparent surface of the fluid storing container together with the plurality of the 2nd electrodes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
