<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase versatility of a memory card for keeping dimensional compatibility with an existing memory card for application to an existing memory card adaptable apparatus when the size of the memory card is reduced or varied in various countries. <P>SOLUTION: A full-size semiconductor memory card 1A is provided with a cap 16 forming its configuration and a base substrate 4 on which a flash memory semiconductor chip and a controller semiconductor chip are mounted. A plane dimension of the base substrate 4 is approximately a half of that of the cap 16. In the parts corresponding to two corners in the base substrate 4, chamfering parts 4b and 4c are formed. In the base substrate 4, the chamfering parts 4b and 4c are attached in a groove 16b so that they face chamfering parts 16b4 and 16b5 formed on the back face of the cap 16 in the groove 16b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
