PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and compact optical sensor with simple configuration. SOLUTION: The optical sensor 10 comprises a tube 12 having space inside; a transparent capsule 14 that is movably held in the tube 12 in the longitudinal direction of the tube 12; a phototransistor 28 provided at one edge in the longitudinal direction of the tube 12; an LED 22 for applying light toward the transparent capsule 14 in the tube 12 from the short side direction of the tube 12; and a reflection member 32 that is provided on the transparent capsule 14 and reflects light applied from the LED 22 for guiding to the phototransistor 28.
