PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform error corrections for continuous noises to the extent of a few milliseconds through an interleaver, without destroying block sequences in Reed-Solomon codes, in an error correction method for Reed-Solomon codes in digital transmission of the limited band. SOLUTION: A transmission apparatus 10 has a Reed-Solomon encoder 12, which performs Reed-Solomon encoding for a transmission data sequence 11 in units of frames, and an interleaver 16, which divides each frame of Reed-Solomon encoded data into a plurality of subframes and interleaves, without destroying code sequences of the subframes. The interleaver 16 has a data table divided into n×m blocks, based on the frame number n for the Reed-Solomon encoded data, and the number m for subframes that each of the frames is divided. For the blocks of the data table, the interleaver 16 writes/reads the plurality of subframes, to correct errors with respect to continuous noise that occurs in the transmission route of the limited transmission band.
