PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable optical element package having moisture resistance and suppressing deterioration of an optical element, and an easy manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: In the optical element package employing an optical fiber such as a device having a semiconductor laser or a light-receiving element coupled to an optical fiber, an optical switch and an optical filter, the entire package is sealed with a resin and a metal plating is further formed on its surface.
