PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present a Web page suitable for the status a Web page which is being browsed at present by a user. SOLUTION: A server reads characteristic expressions from a page DB, classifies page types, stores the characteristic expressions into the page DB, retrieves the page DB and an index word DB based on URL information transmitted from a user terminal, and transmits the retrieval result to the user terminal. The user terminal classifies a Web page to be browsed the next to the Web page which is being browsed at present by a user according to purpose inclination based on the result transmitted from the server, and displays it at the periphery of the page display of a Web browser by applying a purpose label.
