PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having high display resolution, capable of highly accurately controlling coloring by highly accurately controlling phosphors which emit light. SOLUTION: The display device comprises; a light emitting section 2 for emitting light; an electron emitting section 3 having a photoelectric conversion film 33 for emitting electrons by photoelectric conversion by receiving light from the light emitting section 2; a fluorescence section 4 in which the phosphors 44 for emitting fluorescence by receiving the electrons from the electron emitting section 3 are arrayed for each display pixel; and a potential difference applying section 5 for applying a potential difference between the electron emitting section 3 and the fluorescence section 4 so that the electron emitting section 3 has a low potential and the fluorescence section 4 has a high potential. An image is displayed on the display section 41 of the fluorescence section 4 by light emission of the phosphors 44.
