PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for an optical connector, and a holding structure of an FOT and a ferrule as a component and a structure contributing to decreasing the number of components and reducing optical loss. SOLUTION: The holder 7 for an optical connector comprises a base member 7a, and a 1st piece-like part 7b and a 2nd piece-like part 7c. The 1st piece-like part 7b is formed as a part in contact with a rear face 5d of the FOT 5 attached to the FOT case 6 as a housing. The 2nd piece-like part 7c is formed in contact with a flange 4d of the ferrule 4b positioned in front of the FOT 5.
