PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve device capable of well maintaining the closed state of a passage even if it is used in a high atmospheric temperature when a valve element performs an opening/closing operation. SOLUTION: This valve device 1 comprises an operating shaft 84 having the valve element 86 for opening and closing passages 3 and 3a, a thermally-actuated element 121 opening and closing the valve element 86 by deforming according to temperatures in conjunction with the operating shaft 84, and a seat member 41 installed in the passages 3 and 3a and on which the valve element 86 is brought into contact and from which the valve element is separated. The valve device opens and closes the passages 3 and 3a by bringing the valve element 86 into contact with the seat member 41 and separating the valve element from the seat member.
