DEVICE FOR OBSERVING AT LEAST ONE SLIVER IN PRETREATMENT MACHINE FOR SPINNING SUCH AS FLAT CARD, ROLLER CARD AND DRAWING FRAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely observe the breakage of a sliver in a pretreatment machine for spinning. SOLUTION: An optical observing mechanism (sensor) for observing the presence of the sliver is arranged at the vicinity of each of rollers in the device for observing at least one sliver in the pretreatment machine for spinning such as a flat card, a roller card and a drawing frame, having the two rotary rollers forming roller nip through which at least one sliver passes. The sensor mechanism is arranged in a region between both shared tangential lines which are the shared tangential lines to the periphery surface of each roller, and which are arranged nearly orthogonal to the traveling direction of the sliver, and the visual leg of the sensor is extended so as to be parallel to the rotary axis of each of the rollers to enable the breakage of the sliver to be observed in high reliability without accident by a mechanically simple form.
