PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method which faithfully reproduces digital electrostatic latent images formed in high definition as dot images and allows formation of electrophotographic images having high definition suitable for the printing field, in electrophotographic images of the electronic both side printing, and to provide an image forming apparatus and an organic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: In the image forming method, a toner image formed by developing an electrostatic latent image of a first electronic image formed by digital exposure on the organic photoreceptor is transferred onto one surface of recording paper and heat-fixed, and a toner image formed by developing an electrostatic latent image of a second electronic image formed by digital exposure on the organic photoreceptor is transferred onto the other surface of the recording paper and heat-fixed, wherein the organic photoreceptor contains a compound represented by formula (1).
