PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup which suppresses amplitude variation of a tracking error signal in seeking due to an installation error of an optical pickup to an optical disk device, generates a highly precise tracking error signal with less influence of stray light, and has high mass productivity at a low cost. SOLUTION: Two sub light beams are condensed to a main light beam condensed on the optical disk at least either one of the front and rear of an optical disk rotation direction, when n is considered as an integer and an interval between guide grooves of the optical disk is considered as t, the two sub light beams are condensed at an interval in the optical disk radius direction by tx(n+0.5). In addition, a diffraction grating in which grating grooves with different angles are formed at intervals equal to the upper, and lower sides of an outgoing surface of the light beam is used as a branching means for branching the light beam into a plurality of light beams.
