ILLUMINATING DEVICE FOR OPERATION KEY AND TELEPHONE USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminating device for an operation key capable of brightly and uniformly illuminating a keytop while assuring the keytop being large, and to provide a telephone using it. SOLUTION: An illuminating structure for the operation key has a transparent keypad 4 wherein a plurality of connected keytops 4a are exposed from an opening 2a of a lid body 2 and an illuminating means illuminating the keypad 4 from inside. In the keypad 4, a guide groove is provided in a back surface between each keytop 4a. The illuminating means is provided with a light guiding body 5 comprising a light guiding path 5a arranged along a guide groove and whose side face is a main light emitting surface and a light dividing path 5b and a light emitting element 8 emitting light entering from both end parts of the light guiding path 5a.
