PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve capable of reducing the number of components for receiving a thrust load. SOLUTION: A valve rod holding hole 6 that penetrate, in and out is formed at a valve box 5 of a ball valve. A valve rod 2 is inserted in the valve rod holding hole 6 from the inside of the valve box 5, and a step face 7 for receiving a thrust load of the valve rod 2 is formed, integrally with the valve box 5, at the inner periphery of the valve rod holding hole 6. A flange 9 formed at the valve rod 2 abuts with the step face 7 from the inside of valve box 5 in the axial direction of the valve rod 2, thereby preventing the coming off of the valve rod 2 to the outside.
