PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a catalytic component for addition polymerization, having excellent operability in operation and excellent polymerization activity, and a catalyst for addition polymerization obtained by using the catalytic component for addition polymerization, and to provide a method for producing an addition polymer using the catalyst for addition polymerization. SOLUTION: The catalytic component for addition polymerization is obtained by bringing a component (a) being a compound represented by general formula BiL<SP>1</SP><SB>r</SB>[1] into contact with a component (b) being a compound represented by general formula R<SP>1</SP><SB>s-1</SB>T<SP>1</SP>H [2] and a component (c) being a compound represented by general formula R<SP>2</SP><SB>t-2</SB>T<SP>2</SP>H<SB>2</SB>[3] in which the content of a solid component having≥30μm particle diameter is≤10 vol.% (the total of the solid components in the catalytic component for addition polymerization is 100 vol.%).
