PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed having a head board for orderly placing various articles, eliminating any possibility of breaking and losing by falling, having a substantial display function, and allowing the additional attachment of an implement afterward. SOLUTION: This bed comprises a bed body 9 and a head board 2 erected at the front end part of the bed body 9, and the head board 2 is characterized in comprising a board body 3, and an article clamping part 4 integrally provided on the upper end surface of the board body and formed of an elastic member 41 having a slit 42 longitudinally extending in the central part in the width direction of the upper face. The bed board 2 may be further provided with a surface member 51 covering the board body 3 and the article clamping part 4, an inner surface member 52 integrally formed of the surface material 51 and covering the inside of the article clamping part 4 for partitioning the slit 42, and a cushion member 32 covering the side face in the side of the bed body 9.
