The unit has a rubber-like elastic material in an area of a rubber like elastic layer (6). The roofing unit is applicable in mutually overlapping arrangements in series for covering roof of a building. The rubber-like elastic layer has a thickness of five millimeter. The rubber-like elastic layer is firmly bonded on a solid lower plate body. The rubber-like elastic material is provided with cross-linking and/or filler storages.
