Suction device has a main body (1), which possesses a support section (11) and a pivot section (12) whereby pivot section sits onto the support section. A suction section (2) is provided below the support section. A linkage (3) has its lower end connected to the central section of the suction section and is raised and lowered in the main body. An elongated hole (35) is provided in the linkage. A spring (4) lies between the main body and the suction section. An operating lever (5) has a handle section (51) and a cam section (52) and is pivotably arranged with a pivot pin (54) at the pivot section of the main body. The pivot pin runs through the elongated hole of the linkage and the cam section lies against the linkage.
