<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device which carries out trial printing by printing an image on a set of print mediums and then punching and stapling the same when printing information is set in a mode in which the punching and stapling are required, without specific setting of the trial printing by the user, to thereby prevent occurrence of a number of sets of misprinted print mediums and eliminate waste of print mediums and consumables. <P>SOLUTION: The printing device comprises a staple mode determining section which determines whether or not a staple mode is set in the received printing information, a printing instructing section which issues an instruction of trial printing for printing part of the printing information, based on the determination of the staple mode determining section, and a printing section for carrying out the printing, based on the instruction from the trial printing instructing section. Thus when it is determined that the staple mode is set, the trial printing instructing section issues the instruction of the trial printing to the printing section, and therefore a staple device carries out stapling on the mediums on which the image is printed on a trial basis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
