<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect data stored in an IC tag provided with no encryption function without concentrically managing the information of the IC tag. <P>SOLUTION: A reader/writer (R/W) device 2 reads out inherent information which is information inherent in each IC tag and can not be rewritten from a storage means built in a tag 1 which is an IC tag and transmits the read inherent information to an authentication device 5. The authentication device 5 generates signature data and a public key by using elliptic curve encryption on the basis of the received inherent information and the time stamp of current time. The R/W device 2 receives the signature data, the time stamp and the public key from the authentication device 5 and writes the received data in the tag 1. In verifying the tag 1, the R/W device 2 reads out the inherent information, the signature data, the time stamp, and the public key from the tag 1 and transmits these read data to the authentication device 5. The authentication device 5 verifies the justice of the tag 1 by using these received information and returns the verified result to the R/W device 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
