OXIDE HIGH-TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTING WIRE ROD AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide high-temperature superconducting wire rod in which the metal located at the outer periphery of the superconducting wire is not diffused inside the superconductor and which can suppress deterioration of critical current density. SOLUTION: The oxide high-temperature superconducting wire rod comprises an oxide high-temperature superconductor 1, a sheath 2 which covers the oxide high-temperature superconductor 1 and is made of a material containing silver, a heat-resistant oxide ceramic material 3 for covering the sheath 2, and a coating 4 which is inactive to the heat-resistant oxide ceramic material 3 in a high temperature oxidation atmosphere.
