PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of a ghost image in an optical scanner using an oblique incidence optical system. SOLUTION: In the optical scanner, a light transmissible member 14 of a parallel flat plate is arranged on the incidence/emission face of a light beam to an optical deflector. The flat plate of the light transmissible member is parallel to the rotary shaft of the optical deflector 5, with the normal arranged in a manner non-parallel to the optical axis Ax of the scanning optical system. The deflected reflection light of the light beam obliquely entering from directions mutually different relative to a virtual plane orthogonal to the rotary shaft is improved in a scanning line bend by a special tilted eccentric face installed in a part of the scanning optical system, enabling a high quality color image free of color deviation to be obtained.
