PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device such that the aperture ratio of a pixel region can be improved and a counter electrode and a counter voltage signal line can be connected with reliability. SOLUTION: The counter voltage signal line which has its surface anodized and is made of Al or its alloy is formed below a laminate of a plurality of insulating layers, and the counter electrode made of a light-transmissive conductor is formed above the laminate of the plurality of insulating layers, covers gate signals line and drain signal lines to form a grating-shaped pattern, and is capacitively coupled with the counter voltage signal line through a through hole bored in the laminate of the plurality of insulating layers at a portion of the grating-shaped pattern.
