PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To providing an indicating instrument capable of inhibiting degradation of illumination effect even when the pointer is separately formed. SOLUTION: The indicating instrument comprises the indication member 1, the driving device 4 with the driving shaft 3 arranged behind of the indication member 1, the pointer 7 rounds around the axis along the indication member 1 connected with the driving shaft 3, and the light source 5 for illuminate the pointer. The pointer 7 is separately formed of the 1st pointer 71 positioned behind of the indication member 1 seen by no observer, and the 2nd pointer 72 formed of light transparent material arranged on the display unit 1 observed by the observer, and the 1st pointer 71 and the 2nd pointer 72 are connected through the connection member 73 of light shielding material.
