PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-column chromatographic system, using the data collecting capability of a detector to the maximum and enabling more reliable and accurate chromatograph separation. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method and an apparatus for chromatographically analyzing each of a plurality of samples in detector comprising an autosampler for storing a plurality of samples for chromatograph analysis and a plurality of chromatograph systems, each system comprising one or more pumps and one or more chromatography columns. The detector is included to detect compounds in the samples from each of the chromatographic systems, along with a valve disposed between the detector and the plurality of chromatographic systems, and the valve is so constructed that the respective samples can sequentially reach the detector.
