PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting protein capable of highly sensitive detection and easy operation and a fluorescent dye to be used for the same. SOLUTION: The method of detecting protein labeled with the fluorescent dye in which the protein is detected by measuring the fluorescent light based on the second fluorescent wave length observed in the bonded state with the protein which is shorter than the first fluorescent wave length observed in the free state.
