PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device for a raw material delivery device having a simple constitution for securing constant sealing performance. SOLUTION: The sealing device comprises a fixed ring 14 having a center on a rotational axis 11 of a horizontal rotary furnace and fixed and mounted to the outer periphery of one of a receiving cylinder 12 and a discharging cylinder 22, and a movable ring 29 guided and supported movably to the rotational axis in the radial direction by supporting portions 25, 26 non-movably provided on the other cylinder. The movable ring 29 is located outside or inside the fixed ring in the radial direction. It is moved downward to contact with the fixed ring at its upper or lower side peripheral face for relative slide-contact rotation. Diameters of the slide-contact opposed peripheries of both rings are set to form a slight radial gap between both the opposed peripheral faces. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
