PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument panel capable of improving thermal insulation and sound insulation of an air-conditioner duct while increasing an internal layout space. SOLUTION: This instrument panel, provided with a light-metal instrument panel structure 50, includes an impact absorbing layer made of hard resin on the internal cabin side of a front member 52. The light-metal instrument panel structure 50 is formed on an open cross section composed of a plate-shaped top member 51 extending in a vehicle cross direction and substantially extending in a horizontal direction and the front member 52 bending on the internal cabin side of the top member 51 and substantially extending downwards in a perpendicular direction and is jointed to right and left front pillars.
