PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas barrier film which has high heat resistance including dimensional stability to heat etc., while being processed or used and is excellent in barrier properties to gases including water vapor and oxygen and light transmittance, a substrate for a display using the film, and the display. SOLUTION: A resin the load deflection temperature of which is at least 200°C, the substrate of a polyimide which has an imide skeleton preferably and the total light transmittance of which is at least 70%, and a curable resin layer are provided. The difference n in refractive index between the substrate and the curable resin is expressed by: 0.03≤n≤0.15, and the film thickness D of the curable resin layer is expressed by:0.5μm≤D≤10μm.
