PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit omission of a pattern in a decoration by hydraulic transfer and thereby, enhance its appearance quality, in a surface decorative article with a luminescent layer. SOLUTION: This surface decorative article comprises a resin molded object 2, the luminescent layer 3, a first clear coat layer 4, a printing layer 5 and a second clear coat layer 6. The luminescent layer 3 contains a phosphorescent pigment 7 and is formed on the surface of the resin molded object 2. Further, the first clear coat layer 4 is formed on the surface of the luminescent layer 3 and the printing layer 5 is hydraulically transferred to the surface of the first clear coat layer 4.
