<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive member which has no unnecessary elastic layer left on a core rod body and is free of a flaw on the core rod, and its manufacturing method by selecting a member and a method which are suitably used to remove unnecessary elastic layers formed at both lengthwise ends of the conductive member and a surface coating layer. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed are the conductive member which comprises the conductive core rod body and the elastic layer and surface coating layer formed of solid rubber around the outer periphery of the core rod body, and its manufacturing method, wherein the tear strength of the elastic layer is ≤15 N/mm and twisted yarn which is tensed almost at right angles to the length of the conductive member and has larger new Mohs hardness than the elastic layer is brought into contact with the elastic layer and surface coating layer to remove an unnecessary elastic layer and surface coating layer from the core rod body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
