<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller constituted in such a away that emitted light from an LED reaches electric equipment irrespective of the position of the electric equipment of an operation object and irrespective of the direction of the remote controller. <P>SOLUTION: Once light is emitted from the LED 23, the emitted light is reflected on and transmitted to a reflecting/transmitting substance 24. For example, 60% of the emitted light L1 is transmitted through the reflecting/transmitting substance 24 (transmitted light L3) and 40% of the emitted light L1 is reflected on the reflecting/transmitting substance 24, and the reflected light L2 reaches the other surface of the reflecting/transmitting substance 24, and further 60% of the reflected light L2 is transmitted through the reflecting/transmitting substance 24(transmitted light L5) and 40% of the reflected light L2 is reflected (reflected light L4). By repeating such reflection and transmission, the emitted light from the infrared LED 23 emanates from the entire surface of the reflecting/transmitting substance 24, so that the operation of electric equipment is ensured irrespective of the position of the electric equipment and of the direction of the remote controller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
