<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simply constituted electric steering lock device which can be manufactured at low cost, and which can pull out a locking member without upsizing an actuator. <P>SOLUTION: The electric steering lock device is provided with the locking member 21, which is housed within a slide chamber 11 formed at a casing body 10 and which slides between a locking position where the rotation of a steering shaft is prevented and a lock release position where the rotation of the steering shaft is tolerated. Then the tip part 21c of the locking member 21 has two engagement surfaces 21b which are formed so that they are reverse to each other in parallel along the steering shaft 30. Then the locking member 21 is supported so that the rotation which makes the slide direction an axis is made possible. Then the retaining hole 13a of the slide chamber 11 has two retaining surfaces 13b which are formed along the axis direction of the steering shaft 30 so that the retaining surfaces 13b are reverse to each other. Then the retaining surfaces 13b are formed so that the amount of clearance between the retaining surfaces 13b becomes small at the midsection on the axis direction side of the steering shaft 30 and becomes large at the end part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
