PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a flywheel magnet rotor that makes it possible to eliminate the risk of injuries to the hands of assembling workers of magneto AC generator that are caused by burrs formed when reluctors are formed on the outside circumference of the circumferential wall of a flywheel. SOLUTION: A protruding stripe 13 is provided on the outside circumference of the circumferential wall 11a of the flywheel 11 in such a way as to extend over the full length in the circumferential direction of the flywheel. Grooves 20 that extend over the full length in the circumferential direction of the flywheel are formed on side surfaces of the protruding stripe 13. A recess 14 for forming the reluctors is formed by cutting the protruding stripe 13 with a cutting tool 16 that travels in the axial direction of the flywheel 11. Projections at both sides of the recess 14 are made to serve as the reluctors 15. By setting the traveling direction of the cutting tool 16 in such a way that the cutting tool 16 leaves the protruding stripe 13 at the side surface of the protruding stripe 13 where the grooves 20 are provided, the burrs 17 that are caused by cutting are accommodated inside the grooves 20.
