PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for controlling home devices, wherein a single controller can select and control various pieces of equipment. SOLUTION: The method of controlling different home devices using a single remote controller according to one exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a request step of requesting a device to be controlled by the remote controller; an answer step of answering the device accepting the request; and a control step of controlling only the device accepting the request by the remote controller. The device to be controlled by the controller is selected and only the relevant device is then controlled so that target equipment to be controlled among a plurality of devices can be easily selected.
