PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of generating a plurality of keys and tampering verification method, and an apparatus, and a storage medium and a program capable of enhancing the security performance against tampering of data. SOLUTION: Encrypted data (EID) obtained resulting from applying an arithmetic operation to unique information (camera ID) of the apparatus and first information (secret key P) secretly managed are externally acquired and a key storage section 21 secretly stores the encrypted data as key data. A MAC generating section 28 generates authentication data (MAC) on the basis of a hash value H obtained from protection object data (image data D) and key data (EID) stored in the key storage section 21. An image file generating section 26 provides the unique information (camera ID) and the authentication data (MAC) together with the protection object data (image data D) as an image file 91.
