PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bay window which can prevent a room temperature from being decreased or increased by an outside air temperature, which can reduce disadvantage caused by a person's line of sight from the outside, and which can enhance bathing properties and habitability. SOLUTION: A ceiling 3 and both side walls 2, which are protruded from an exterior wall surface 1 of a building, are doubly and opaquely formed of a wall member 4 for interior finishing and a wall member 5 for external facing. The wall members 4 and 5 are each formed in such a manner as to be equipped with a heat insulating material 6. In this case, preferably, a spandrel wall 24, which is provided on the downside of the window 23, is also formed of the wall members 4 and 5 in the same way as the side wall 2 etc. In addition, preferably, an air space 13 is formed between the wall members 4 and 5. In this case, the adjacent air spaces 13 communicate with each other, and an underfloor section 18 and a section 19 in the ceiling of a room communicate with the air space 13.
