PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket having improved water resistance and equipped with a sealing layer having lowering of a dropped stress holding ratio and low creep. SOLUTION: In a gasket including a sealing strip wound into a spiral, the sealing strip is made up of a resilient layer containing particles of a chemically delaminated vermiculite and a flexible carrier strip coupled to the layer.
