PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery pack which can be used continuously under a state where the capacity of only one series module is reduced, by specifying an abnormal secondary cell and separating a series module that includes the specified secondary cell. SOLUTION: The battery pack comprising a plurality of secondary cells 3, connected in series and parallel, is provided with a parallel connection separating switch 5. Based on variation in cell voltage, when it is turned off, abnormality detection of the secondary cells is performed; and when an abnormal secondary cell is detected, a series module 4, including that abnormal secondary cell, is separated from the battery pack circuit body.
