A network element management system includes a unit having a processing thread. The processing thread is adapted to: forward a management message to a network element by including an ID identifying the processing thread in the management message upon reception of the management message for management of the network element from a client; and process a reply message in response to the management message from the network element in response to an occurrence of a predetermined event.
