Class 120(3) The compression chamber of apparatus for continuously crimping synthetic yarn houses a counter-pressure piston in the form of either a hollow member, fitted at one or each end with a releasable grid, or a magnet, which accommodates or holds several balls together as an adjustable or variable unit. The crimped yarn passes through the unit which ensures unobstructed withdrawal the rate of which may be automatically adjusted in dependence on the height of compressed yarn in the chamber. |
