<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an inkjet recording paper which has excellent ink absorption and high glossiness and is free from cracks. <P>SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the inkjet recording paper comprises the following processes: (1) a coating liquid containing an inorganic fine particle and a hydrophilic binder which has a hydrophilic polymer compound crosslinked by ionizing radiation, is applied to the surface of a support, (2) the hydrophilic polymer compound is crosslinked by irradiating it with the ionizing radiations, and (3) an ink receptive layer which is a porous layer, is formed by drying. In addition, the volume of a low-boiling point water-soluble organic solvent added to the coating liquid during the emission of the ionizing radiations, is 2 to 25 mass%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
