<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save a running cost by suppressing the use of a special toner cartridge with a high cost and a wide color reproducibility and by obtaining thereby a better image in printing a color LBP. <P>SOLUTION: A method for controlling a color image printing which is realized by both the color LBP and an image feeding apparatus, is equipped with a means for mounting four color cartridges of Y (yellow), M (magenta), C (cyan) and K (black), a means for mounting a cartridge provided with a toner reproducing a color region which is not reproduced with Y, M, C and K, a mounted cartridge detecting means for detecting the kinds of the cartridges mounted in the color LBP, a means for informing information acquired by the mounted cartridge detecting means to an image feeding apparatus, a color reproducibility storing means for storing color reproducibility data (color region) of the cartridges which the color LBP allows to mount, and a displaying means connected with the image feeding apparatus and informing various information to a user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
