PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cellulose acylate film having good surface appearance and excellent solution stability by peeling a film formed by casting onto a support within a short time. SOLUTION: When a cellulose ester solution formed by dissolving a cellulose ester in an organic solvent is cast onto a support, and the cellulose ester film formed on the support is peeled from the support, the cellulose ester solution is adjusted to have a viscosity of 10 to 150 Pa s and a tanδ(loss modulus/storage modulus) at 25°C of 1 to 6.5.
